The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when God's sons came in to men's daughters and had children with them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

Name Meaning
Nephilim (Strong's 5303) appears to come from naphal (Strong's 5307) which means to fall, or to cause to fall. In this way, it seems that nephilim could mean the fallen ones or those who cause others to fall.
