Traditionally The Torah is considered to be written by Moses. But even the text points to something more nuanced. There are several verses which imply and assume an author and a perspective which was long after Moses died. For example:
Genesis 36.31 These are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom, before any king reigned over the children of Israel.
Moses never saw any king reigning over the children of Israel. He couldn't have written this sentence.
