- Guilt and shame: We feel obligated to say yes, even when it doesn't align with our purposes.

- We like to show off how much we can do.
- We think that we can do it all.
- We are afraid to admit our finitude.
- ignorance: We simply don't realize how much we have overcommitted.
- We don't manage our time well.
- It takes time to learn what your capacity is.
