Psalm 104:24
Yahweh, how many are your works! In wisdom, you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches.
Points
- In the summer we are able to spend more time outside and thus we are brought face to face with God, His glory and and the creation He made.
- Our mouths and all our senses fail us in doing justice to God's great creation.
- Our minds are inadequate to comprehend the extent of God's creation.
- What do we experience every time we go outside?
- We see the handiwork of God. This should cause us to be in awe and wonder of Him.
- How could we curse the weather? The rain, snow, winds etc. These are the works of God. They are His servants sent to fulfill His purposes.
- Psalm 148:7-12: There is nothing in creation that works or acts without God.
- Natural law: These are the normal laws of how nature usually works. Everything in creation has order.
- And yet God can suspend this natural law at any time.
- He did so on numerous occasions in miracles.
- There is a wrong view which says that God is in nature. That God is in the earth.
- This is not the case. God is above nature, outside of it.
- communism tries to take the place of God.
- communism places itself as the rightful authority to decide who gets what.
- Job 26:14: We only see such a small glimpse of who God is. but the fullness of His power is beyond our imagination and grasp.
- Psalm 104:24: the works of God are so many
- Psalm 19:1: The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament shows his handiwork.
- ⭐: God created this universe, not primarily for us to exploit it, but to increase our faith and to spur us to rely on Him.
- Do not harden your heart. Come to Him. Taste, see and enjoy all that God has given to us.
- When you do you will be strengthened.
- And you will enjoy God who has given all these things to us.
