📖Bible Passage

I will sing to Yahweh as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.

Points

  • Christ sings praise to God, in and amongst His people.
  • Here in our text, the LORD teaches us how we should view life. We should always sing praise to God.
    • Psalm 104:33: I will sing to Yahweh as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God **while I have any being.
    • Philippians 4:4-7: Rejoice in the LORD always.
      • Then you will find perfect peace.
    • 1 Thess. 5:16-18 Always rejoice. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
    • No matter what happens, always praise God.
      • It is a powerful and empowering way to live your life.
        • It's empowering because you cannot know what will happen in your life, but you can always know how to respond, with praise and thanksgiving to Him.
    • We praise Him because He commands us.
    • It is also an opportunity for us.
  • This psalm highlights the innumerable wonderful things of God which are worthy of praise.
    • We struggle to feed a multitude of people, and yet God feeds animals all across creation effortlessly.
  • Whatever you are doing, wherever you go, your heart needs to continually praise God for who He is.
    • The more we praise Him, the more we will find ourselves eagerly coming to Him with praise at church on the LORD's day.
      • We should be praising Him throughout the week, wherever we go.
      • ❓: Who has more reason to praise Him for salvation, grace, and sanctification than Christians?
        • Christians ought to praise Him more than any other people.
  • There are so many scriptural examples of praises toward God:
    • Ps 63:3-5 Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you. So I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with the richest food. My mouth shall praise you with joyful lips,
      • This is a resolution to continually praise Him
    • Psalm 100
    • Psalm 135
    • Psalm 145
